ACADE (Association of Independent Private Education Centers) is a business organization founded in 1978 with the aim of defending and promoting non-subsidized private education, based on the recognition of this right in the Spanish Constitution.
It is a democratic organization in which its governing bodies are elected by the associated centers throughout Spain, and its agreements are subject to the control and approval of the general assembly of centers. It represents about 4,000 private schools scattered throughout the country and is structured in regional and provincial offices, and in some of the areas it represents sectoral structure: vocational training, early childhood education, dance, language and British schools.
